Nesse sentido, a metodologia do presente estudo partiu de uma análise teórica - utilizando como base diversas doutrinas e artigos científicos do ramo jurídico -, jurisprudencial - em ações jul- gadas perante o Superior Tribunal de Justiça - e normativa - através de regulamentações da Corte Internacional de Direitos Humanos. ABSTRACT: The present study aims to analyze the need for represen- tation guaranteed by the State in Access to Justice for the vulnerable through the Public Defender’s Office, progressively acting in the pro- motion, prevention and defense of human rights, including with the daily use of the American Convention on Human Rights and other American human rights treaties, as well as advisory reports, deci- sions and opinions issued by the Commission and the Inter-American Court, in addition to forwarding complaints to the Inter-American Human Rights System. In this sense, the methodology of the present study started from a theoretical analysis - using as a base several doctrines and scientific articles from the legal branch - jurisprudence - in actions judged before the Superior Court of Justice - and norma- tive - through regulations of the International Court of Human Rights.
